Carmen is a Chartered Physiotherapist who qualified from the University of East London with a BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Carmen’s other qualifications include a Diploma in Sports Massage, a FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine and an Athletic Strapping and Clinical Taping certificate. Furthermore, in 2023 Carmen achieved a Distinction in Sports and Exercise Medicine MSc.
Carmen has been working as a Physiotherapist in the NHS, initially in Luton and Dunstable, then Buckinghamshire, then Barnet in London, before relocating to the Southwest to work in Somerset NHS Trust. Alongside this, Carmen has worked at Princess Risborough RFC, Stevenage FC Academy, and is currently working at Wiveliscombe RFC.
Carmen has volunteered as a physiotherapist in the polyclinic at the World Para-Athletics Championships and the IAAF World Championships in London in 2017 and more recently at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Additionally, she volunteered as part of the medical team at the finish line of the London Marathon in 2017, 2018 and 2021. Lastly, Carmen volunteered to support the Women’s USA Touch Rugby Team in the World Cup in Nottingham 2024.
Due to this Carmen has considerable experience in treating a wide variety of patients and demographics, and has familiarity with patients who are both elite and amateur athletes and those who would class themselves and or their hobbies as non-active. She has vast experience in treating a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries.

Danielle is a valued member of the QKP team having worked at the clinic for nearly five years. As a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, she also works in Exeter for the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Trust. She qualified from the University of Essex in 2011 with an undergraduate degree in Sports and Exercise Science and in 2013 with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy. Danielle has a Diploma in Sports Massage and also a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine.
From her work in the NHS and private practices, Danielle has gained extensive experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. She has worked with the GB Volleyball Team and other elite and non-elite athletes, as well as individuals with non-sports related injuries.
Outside of physiotherapy, Danielle plays for her team in Division 1 of the Exeter & District Netball League, and has a keen interest in climbing, swimming and tennis. Jennifer qualified from the University of Hertfordshire in 2005 with a BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy and started her career at the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. Having worked as a physiotherapist in Exeter for over 17 years, as well as spending time working in Adelaide, Australia, Jennifer has extensive experience in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal patients. She is a Chartered Physiotherapist and is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Jennifer is also a qualified Acupuncturist registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Jennifer also trained as a FitBack & Bumps Instructor, which provided her with experience in Ante & Postnatal Physio treatment and exercise for women in their childbearing years.
Jennifer completed her postgraduate MSc in Sport and Exercise (specialising in Sport Injury) at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2011. She then went on to work at the London Olympics and Paralympics in 2012.
In 2013 she decided to embark on setting up her own private practice and Quay Kinetics Physio was born! Her goal was to develop a clinic that enabled patients to receive the highest quality care in an inspiring environment.
In 2016 (alongside running her own clinic) she joined the Spinal Orthopaedic team part-time, working alongside Exeter‘s top spinal surgeons and fellow Spinal Extended Scope Practitioners to provide the highest quality care to people suffering with spinal problems. The knowledge and experience she gained from working in this role has allowed her to provide an even better package of care to her clients.
In early 2021 she left the NHS to pursue QKP full-time due to the success of the business and her passion for providing quality care. She also recently passed her exam to become a Diplomate member of the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine UK.
