Physiotherapy
We are all Chartered Physiotherapists who can assess, diagnose, and treat your injury through a combination of methods that may include manual therapy; manipulation and/or exercise prescription. Education plays an important role in physiotherapy. The goal of physiotherapy is to return you to your optimal function and strength, while educating you about your injury. This allows you to independently maintain a healthy body without the constant supervision of a therapist.
Sports Massage Therapy
Soft Tissue & Sports Massage Therapy is a hands on treatment committed to restoring and maintaining optimal health and pain-free function of the body. Sports Massage is not limited to those who play sports. Potential benefits are relaxation, reduced fatigue, reduced muscle soreness and prevention of muscle injury.
Acupuncture
Quay Kinetics Physio is also able to offer Acupuncture as part of your holistic treatment. Your requirements will be assessed and discussed during your initial appointment.
We offer Western Style acupuncture as well as dry needling and trigger point treatment. It is often included as an adjunct to the physiotherapist’s treatment session. Acupuncture can help to release tight muscles and neural tension along with improving energy levels or altering mood and improving sleep. It can also be used for the treatment of headaches, low back pain and knee osteoarthritis.
Further information about the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists can be found on their website www.aacp.org.uk
Virtual / Online Physiotherapy
Virtual physiotherapy offers an alternative way to get support from a Physiotherapist without the need for face-to-face visits.
Via a secure online video assessment, you can expect a rehab programme and exercises you can complete at home. You will undergo a thorough assessment, and be asked to perform movements and tests to allow us to formulate a diagnosis and plan for your care. A fantastic alternative to in-person sessions that has worked so well for those further afield or who cannot attend our clinic in person.
Pilates (Physio-Led)
Clinical Pilates (Physio-Led)
Clinical Pilates is a form of Pilates taught by a Chartered Physiotherapist, using evidence-based movement strategies to help improve strength, mobility, core control, and balance.
These small-group sessions are designed to support recovery from injury, enhance physical performance, and reduce the risk of future problems. Whether you're managing pain, returning to exercise, or simply looking to move better and feel stronger, Clinical Pilates offers a safe and effective way to build whole-body resilience.
Suitable for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced movers.

Functional Rehab Class
Designed to bridge the gap between rehab and full return to sport or daily activity.
Ideal if you’ve completed treatment but want structured, physio-led exercise to keep progressing. This Functional Rehab class if for anyone who wants to learn more about strength, flexibility and balance to maintain overall health. In the gym at Boulder Exe, we'll lift weights, learn about technique and try things that you always thought were 'for other people'. We want you to gain confidence in lifting and loading your body. It's not a HIIT class or structured but more of an exploration of movements and load in a small group led by a Physiotherapist. This isn’t a gym class. It’s a physio-led programme designed for people who feel unsure, hesitant, or even a little afraid of progressing on their own. You’ll learn how to lift, move, and stretch safely — with variety, fun, and expert guidance. Expect weights, mobility, mat work, even some Qigong… all tailored for real life. Suitable for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced movers.
